Eagle Band Activities Association

About the EBAA

The Eagle Band Activities Association (EBAA) is made up of parents of the Pennsville Eagle Marching Band.  The EBAA meets almost every month of the school year.  The EBAA provides many things for the band.  It organizes and runs all fundraisers, band jacket sales, shirt & hat sales, plans the end of the season Banquet, Showcase of Bands, fits & repairs uniforms, all while trying to keep parents informed about activities of the band.  We also lend assistance to the Band Director and staff when needed.  We have a Chinese Auction every year, and plan lunches & snacks for competitions.   We provide scholarships to every graduating member of the band.  We also have a breakfast for all Senior Band Members & their families.  We cook, bake, type, chaperone & sew our way through the year.  The membership is free, the hours are long, but the rewards are priceless!

I realize in this hectic life we lead that everyone is being pulled in so many different directions, but if everyone can help a little, then we can accomplish much for the band.  There are many ways you can help such as donating sodas, sandwiches, cookies or candy when asked to.  Throughout the year you will get calls for donations of these things, PLEASE do what you can to help the person calling as they are also volunteering their time to call.  We have one very big event each year, Showcase of Bands.  We need EVERY available person we can get for this event. Please clear your calendar and come help with this event.  We have a lot of fun and it’s a great way to get to know other parents & watch your Band Member in their first performance of the year.  Whatever help you can give this year will be greatly appreciated!  Suggestions are always welcome to improve the Association, so let your voice be heard, come to the meetings and support the students.    If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me at eaglebandactivitiesassoc@yahoo.com

Committees Explained

BAND CAMP

            Coordinate snacks and drinks for the band during the 2 weeks of band camp in August.  Contact parents to donate fruit/snacks each day.  Fill water jug each morning. 

 

LUNCHES

            Contact parents to donate sandwiches, snacks and drinks for the students to eat on competition days.  Setup and cleanup in band room every competition. 

 

FUNDRAISING

            Plan and execute different fundraisers over the year, such as cheesecake sale, fruit sale, etc. 

 

SENIOR BREAKFAST

            Plan breakfast for senior band members and their families, usually held in Jan/Feb.  Reserve location, plan menu and get volunteers.

 

CHAPERONE

            Ride buses with band members to/from competitions and football games.

 

SHOWCASE OF BANDS

            Organize volunteers for our biggest fundraiser of the year in Food Booths, Craft Booth, Baked Goods Booth.  Set up program and arrange for copying. 

 

SEWING

            Hem uniforms to fit each band member correctly, affix buttons, etc.

 

BANQUET

            Plan end-of-season celebration banquet.  Reserve location, plan menu and decorations.

 

CHINESE AUCTION

            Organize annual auction held at the Middle School in Mar/Apr.  Obtain raffle license from township, ask for donations and send out flyers.

 

PIT CREW

            Help get the equipment on and off the field.

 

DRIVER

            Drive trailer to/from football games and competitions.
